Thoughts on SEA TRIAN Loading Wind Power Equipment Blades

2026年, SEA TRIAN迎来首个航次即V2601, 也迎来了首个挑战。接到公司航次指令, V2601需在舱盖上装载大型风力发电设备叶片。在公司领导的指导下,我轮于2026年02月10日在江苏太仓港对15片风叶,单片长度82.576米的风电扇叶完美装船,顺利开航,并于2026年02月28日安全抵达印度KANDLA锚地,2026年03月02日凌晨顺利交完货。

In 2026, SEA TRIAN embarked on its first voyage, namely V2601, and also faced its first challenge. Upon receiving the company's voyage instruction, V2601 needs to be loading large wind power equipment blades on its hatch cover. Under the guidance of the company's leadership, our vessel successfully loaded 15 wind turbine blades, each with a length of 82.576 meters, loading to the ship at Taicang Port in Jiangsu Province on February 10, 2026, and set sail smoothly. We safely arrived at the KANDLA Anchorage in India on February 28, 2026, and successfully delivered the goods in the early morning of March 2, 2026.

 

   在安全到达KANDLA港顺利交货后,收获的喜悦,来自于之前耕作过程的艰辛。本轮这次装载的风叶实在太大,单片长度达到82.567米,堆叠起来高度,左右两侧差不多达到驾驶台窗户的一半左右,这不免让我们感到担心,因为盲区太大,会影响正常瞭望,进而影响船舶航行安全,也是首次装载货物高度如此之高。有些高度是用来仰望的,有些高度是用来麻烦的。有问题就得解决,在公司的领导安排和指导下,对本轮船头大桅及罗经甲板安装摄像头,协助瞭望。船长也根据本轮的特性及所经航区的复杂程度,对航行值班进行重新安排,尽最大努力保障航行安全。

After safely arriving at the KANDLA Port and successfully delivering the goods, the joy of harvest stems from the hardships of the previous farming process. The wind blades loaded this time are really too large. The length of a single piece reaches 82.567 meters. When stacked, the height on both sides is almost half of the bridge window. This can't help but make us worried because the blind spot is too large, which will affect normal lookout and thus the safety of the ship's navigation. It is also the first time that the height of the loaded goods has been so high. Some heights are for looking up to, while some are for causing trouble. Where there are problems, they must be solved. Under the arrangement and guidance of the company's leadership, cameras were installed on the bow masts and compass decks of this round to assist in lookout. The captain also rearranged the navigation duty based on the characteristics of this round and the complexity of the navigation area it passed through, making every effort to ensure navigation safety.

 

   由于本次装载的风叶过高,风叶本身太长,所以对绑扎更不敢有半点的松懈,仔细核对止移板及枪板焊接有没到位;底锁及桥锁是否锁到位,绑扎链条松紧度是否达到要求。反复核对及检查,确定均达到要求,才得安心。

As the fan blades loaded this time are too high and the blades themselves are too long, we dare not be the least bit slack in the lashing. We carefully check whether the welding of the anti-displacement plate and the gun plate is in place. Check whether the bottom lock and bridge lock are locked in place and whether the tightness of the binding chain meets the requirements. Only by repeatedly checking and inspecting to ensure that all requirements are met can one feel at ease.

 

   从太仓到印度的KANDLA港,我们航行了18天,经过国内的渔船密集区,新加坡及马六甲海峡水上交通要道,经历了马六甲海峡到斯里兰卡的横向长涌,我们都处于高度紧张而有序工作状态,按照之前部署,每天检查货物绑扎及检查货物状况,增加航行值班人员,特别航行在新加波及马六甲海峡,采用双驾驶员(包括船长)加值班水手在驾驶台及两翼值班,船头增加瞭望人员保持24小时连续瞭望。艰辛的付出,迎来胜利的曙光,我们安全抵达KANDLA港。经过繁琐的办关手续,我们终于可以卸货,解绑,割除止移板和枪板,开始卸货。在解绑当中,我们时刻要注意在解绑第3层及2层绑扎链条及桥锁时,确定工人是用绳子绑住链条及桥锁慢慢往下放,以免碰到货物。随着最后一片风叶安全卸完,我们悬着心,终于可以踏实安定下来。

From Taicang to KANDLA Port in India, we sailed for 18 days. We passed through the domestic fishing boat dense area, Singapore and the important water transportation routes of the Strait of Malacca, and experienced the long horizontal surging from the Strait of Malacca to Sri Lanka. We were all in a highly tense yet orderly working state. According to the previous deployment, we checked the cargo lashing and the condition of the cargo every day, and increased the number of navigation duty personnel. For special voyages in Singapore and the Strait of Malacca, a double deck officers (including the captain) and a duty AB are on duty at the bridge and on both sides. Lookout personnel are added at the bow to maintain 24-hour continuous lookout. After arduous efforts, we finally saw the dawn of victory and safely arrived at KANDLA Port. After going through the cumbersome customs clearance procedures, we were finally able to unload the goods, unbind them, cut off the anti-displacement plates and gun plates, and start unloading. During the unbinding process, we must always pay attention to ensuring that when unbinding the third and second layers of binding chains and bridge locks, the workers use ropes to bind the chains and bridge locks and lower them slowly to avoid touching the goods. With the last fan blade safely removed, we were on tenterhooks and could finally settle down at ease.

 

 

   V2601航次装运风叶圆满完成,离不开货物预配、舱盖强度计算、船舶离港到港状态计算、CCTV替代满足IMO视线要求的设计及审核、主管当局及船级社对各图纸资料的审核批准,船旗国单航次遮挡视线豁免申请等为满足安全和相关规定所做的大量工作,也为下次安全装载风叶积累了成功的经验。虽然在此期间,公司及船员付出艰辛的劳动,但是成果是非常理想的,也使我们引以为傲!The successful completion of the wind blade loading for the V2601 voyage is inseparable from the extensive work done to meet safety and relevant regulations, including the pre-stowage of goods, the calculation of hatch strength, the calculation of the vessel's departure and arrival conditions, the design and review of CCTV substitution to meet the IMO visibility requirements, the review and approval of various drawings and materials by the competent authorities and classification societies, and the application for exemption of the flag state order for the voyage from obstructing visibility. It also accumulated successful experience for the safe loading of fan blades next time. Although the company and the crew made arduous efforts during this period, the results were very satisfactory and made us proud!
